SYNOPSIS:
Light to moderate winds and moderate seas are expected during the next 24 hours as a ridge of high pressure dominates the weather across the Northwestern Caribbean. In addition, slight Saharan dust intrusion and residual moisture will allow for an inter-mix of isolated showers and hazy conditions. Radar imagery shows isolated showers to the north of the Cayman Islands moving northwest.
FORECAST:
Tonight: Partly cloudy skies with a 30% chance of showers and possible thunder, especially over the Sister Islands. Temperatures will fall to the low 80’s °F. Winds will be east to southeast at 5 to 10 knots. Seas will be slight to moderate with wave heights of 3 to 5 feet.
Tomorrow: Partly cloudy and slightly hazy, becoming cloudy at times with a 40% chance of showers and isolated thunder. Temperatures will rise to the low 90’s °F, with a heat index near 100 °F. Winds will be east to southeast at 10 to 15 knots. Seas will be moderate with wave heights of 3 to 5 feet.
