On 2nd June, a young Muslim woman had her Hijab violently ripped off by an Islamophobe whilst she crashing a road in Antwerp, Belgium. As a result, the woman was injured. A little less than an hour later, the woman's brother, along with two companions, broke into the apartment of her attacker, the 62-year-old man. An argument ensued, the attacker stabbed the victim's brother. Both men were taken to hospital. However, their injuries were not life-threatening. Forensics officers went to the flat to gather evidence. Both were questioned by an examining magistrate and have since been conditionally released from custody.
