The motion raised before Camogie Association‘s special congress regarding the introduction of shorts as official playing kit has been passed by “an overwhelming majority” tonight. A 66 per cent majority was necessary in order for change to be implemented, with camogie players now having the choice between shorts and skorts, effective immediately. The decision follows a series of protests by intercounty players in recent weeks in relation to comfort and privacy issues in relation to the skort.
