Our spokesperson, Mr. Tafadzwa Kachiko, featured on Capitalk 100.4 FM’s Deep Dive – The Exchange yesterday, discussing how ZETDC’s prepaid meter rollout has impacted the public lighting system in Chitungwiza. Mr. Kachiko expressed concern over the lack of official communication from ZETDC before or after the installation. As a result, some tower lights went off unexpectedly — leading to unfortunate incidents, including reports of muggings — because council was unaware and unable to recharge the system. ZETDC has only recently written to council regarding the programme.
