*The Supreme Protector of All Creation* Samarth Ramdas Swamiji was a great saint from Maharashtra. He lived during the seventeenth century and was the spiritual teacher of Shivaji Maharaj, the devoted ruler of Maharashtra. One day, Shivaji Maharaj and his guru Ramdas Swamiji were observing the construction work inside the palace. During this time, Maharaj was reflecting, "I am truly a great king, as I take such meticulous care of everything surrounding me!" Ramdas Swamiji, with his divine insight, discerned the thoughts of his disciple and decided to rectify them immediately. Nearby, there was a large rock. Ramdas Swamiji instructed some soldiers to split the rock into two parts. As the soldiers followed his orders and broke the rock, everyone present witnessed an unbelievable sight. Inside the rock, there was a hollow space filled with water, and within it was a small frog. As soon as the rock broke into two, the trapped frog was freed and leaped out. Ramdas Swamiji then turned to Shivaji Maharaj and asked, "If you believe you are responsible for the welfare and well-being of everyone in this kingdom, tell me, who was taking care of the welfare of the frog trapped inside the rock?" Maharaj realized his error and felt ashamed for his ego-driven thoughts. He understood deeply that God is the creator of all and takes care of the wellbeing of all His creation. It is essential to engage in endeavors with humility. Dedication to such endeavors with a spirit of surrender leads to the realization that God alone is omnipotent and the creator of everything.
