LIFESPAN Everyone has a curiosity about understanding their life span. In astrology, there is a method to determine lifespan by deeply studying the 3rd, 8th, and 12th houses. Additionally, by analyzing the 11th house and its lord, we can ascertain whether the lifespan is short or long. The 11th house and its lord in a natal chart provide us with multiple benefits, such as for the 2nd child, 2nd spouse, 2nd career, or 2nd income. Therefore, for longevity, the 11th house and its lord should be in a favorable position. When it comes to lifespan, the 8th house can also be analyzed alongside the 11th house and its lord for estimating how long one might live. Generally, for longevity, we prioritize the following indicators: 1) The lord of the 8th house in the 11th house. 2) The lord of the 11th house in the 11th house. 3) The lord of the 11th house in its exalted state. 4) Strong planets present in the 11th house. Overall, the lifespan is determined based on the planets in the 11th house according to the ascendant. For lifespan analysis, we focus on the ascendant lord, the 8th house lord, the houses/zodiac signs where these two lords are exalted, and the 11th house and the well-placed strong planets within it. For Aries ascendant, the lord of the ascendant is Mars, which is also the lord of the 8th house. The lord of the 11th house is Saturn. Both Mars and Saturn are exalted in Capricorn and Libra respectively. If a strong Saturn or Jupiter is present in the 11th house of Aquarius, it indicates good longevity. For Taurus ascendant with the ascendant lord Venus and the 8th house lord Jupiter, both Venus and Jupiter are exalted in Cancer and Pisces respectively. The 11th house is Pisces; a strong Jupiter or Venus here indicates good lifespan.
