#evga motherboard users are facing boot-up issues when pairing #nvidia’s RTX 50 #gpus with certain EVGA Z690 boards due to conflicts caused by #smbus pins on the #pcie slot. With official support lacking, frustrated users have devised a #diy fix by taping over the affected pins, effectively blocking unwanted #communication. EVGA’s withdrawal from the #gpu market in 2022 and subsequent downsizing have resulted in limited #software support, exacerbating #compatibility concerns. While this issue does not affect all EVGA #motherboards, users are relying on #forum discussions for solutions, and EVGA has yet to officially address the problem.
Users have voiced their frustration, with one remarking, "EVGA is a shadow of its former self, and obtaining #bios updates for #hardware compatibility feels like pulling teeth. They've essentially abandoned their customers when it comes to #motherboard support." Meanwhile, others have accused EVGA of deflecting blame onto Nvidia and neglecting its #customer base.
