In a joint press statement released today, Kenya’s opposition parties including the People's Liberation Party, condemned President Ruto’s failure to act following the deportation of Martha Karua from Tanzania. While acknowledging his recent apology during the National Prayer Breakfast, they demanded tangible action which insists on justice for victims of abductions, halting misuse of the justice system and protection of citizens' rights. As Chair of the East African Community (EAC), they urged him to uphold regional principles and defend Kenyans like Karua and Boniface Mwangi from foreign repression, warning that silence in the face of injustice is complicity.
