Treasury Minister Dr Alex Allinson MHK today welcomed the appointment of Dan Clague as Chair of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company. Mr Clague, who is currently based in London, is a senior adviser and non-executive director with an extensive track record providing corporate finance advice, mainly in the shipping and ports industry. He is a descendent of the owner of John Clague and Son Limited, an iron foundry business in Ramsey. The Treasury undertook the recruitment process as sole shareholder of the Steam Packet Company, which operates as a commercial enterprise at arm’s length from Government.
