JOB TITLE: AI Engineer (Voice AI Specialist) LOCATION: Nigeria (Remote) SALARY: ₦1,000,000 – ₦1,280,000/month REPORTS TO: Chief Technology Officer SECTOR: Artificial Intelligence / Software Development / Voice Technology Our client is a forward-thinking tech startup building next-generation AI-powered solutions tailored for emerging markets. Their core mission is to develop intelligent systems that understand, process, and generate human-like voice and language experiences. They are currently seeking a skilled and innovative AI Engineer (Voice AI Specialist) with strong experience in Voice-to-Text (ASR) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) systems, particularly for African accents and dialects. ROLE SUMMARY: This role focuses on building voice AI systems, training and fine-tuning models, and developing APIs for seamless integration of voice technologies. The ideal candidate must be based in Nigeria, proficient in Python and AI/ML libraries, and able to deploy speech technologies in real-world environments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Design and implement speech AI systems (ASR and TTS) optimized for African use cases • Train and fine-tune models using tools such as OpenAI, Whisper, Tacotron, WaveNet, etc. • Build APIs and data pipelines for ingesting and transforming voice data • Collaborate with engineers to deploy voice applications into production environments • Continuously evaluate and improve speech models using real-world data • Ensure voice systems are robust, scalable, and user-friendly REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in AI/ML or speech engineering roles • Advanced expertise in Voice-to-Text (ASR) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) technologies • Proficiency in Python, with experience using PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformers, etc. • Strong understanding of NLP, speech processing, and large language models • Hands-on experience working with OpenAI APIs or similar LLM frameworks • Demonstrated ability to deploy and scale ML models in production • Experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud services is an added advantage • Must be resident in Nigeria – remote roles will not be open to candidates abroad • Strong communication, debugging, and problem-solving skills • A portfolio of previous voice AI projects will be a strong advantage APPLICATION METHOD: Interested and qualified candidates should apply using the link below: https://bit.ly/Fmragency2 and ensure a link to your portfolio is included in your cv.
