"𝗟𝘁 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗧𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗶 : 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝘆 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲". On 22 May 2025, Lt Shashank Tiwari made the supreme sacrifice in the highest traditions of the #indianarmy, while saving his Army buddy, in #sikkim. With total disregard to his own safety, he jumped in the raging river to ensure safety of his comrade. Lt Tiwari commissioned into the 1st Battalion, Sikkim Scouts, in Dec 2024 and barely 23 years age, displayed conspicuous bravery, embodying the Chetwode motto: “The safety, honour, and welfare of your country comes first, always and every time. The honour, welfare, and comfort of the men you command come next. Your own ease, comfort, and safety come last, always and every time.” The #braveheart was laid to rest with full Military Honours, at #ayodhya, on 24 May.
