*NCC Girl Cadets Visit Forward Areas in #kumaon, Uttarakhand* 40 Girl Cadets of UP NCC Directorate, embarked on eight days forward area tour in remote regions of #kumaonhills. The cadets besides visiting famous tourist places also interacted with troops of #panchshulbrigade which made all arrangements to give them a holistic exposure to ‘Way of Life’ of a soldier in inhospitable terrain & weather conditions and; different types of New Generation Equipment / weapons in #indianarmy. The cadets also interacted with citizens of village Gunji being developed under Govt of India initiative of #vibrantvillage programme, which gave them an overview of the challenges faced by the people residing in #borderareas. The collaborative initiative between #suryacommand and UP NCC Directorate is aimed to motivate the future generation to join #indianarmedforces in their endeavour to contribute to #nationbuilding.
