National Flood Relief Symposium : 10 Jun 2025 : HQ Central Command National Military-Civil Symposium on Floods & Flood-Related Disaster Management, was held on 10 June 2025 at HQ Surya Command, #lucknow. The event was attended by Shri Swatantra Dev Singh, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister Jal Shakti and Flood Control Uttar Pradesh, senior officials from Indian Army, State administration, NDMA and SDMAs of five States viz HP, Uttarakhand, Bihar, MP & UP. Representatives from technical agencies i.e, IMD, CWC, NRSC, also participated in the conference. The symposium focused on joint planning, knowledge sharing and technology driven strategies to reduce disaster risk and improve response across vulnerable five states. An equipment display was also organised to share best practices amongst various agencies. Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, GOC-in-C, #suryacommand highlighted the need to enhance synergy among various agencies and technology led efforts - to ensure swift, coordinated and resilient response during such emergencies.
