Considered the group of death of the competition, Botafogo, current champion of the Libertadores, will face Seattle Sounders (USA), PSG (FRA) and Atlético de Madrid (ESP). The Alvinegro will have a special reunion with midfielder João Paulo, right at the start of the tournament.
João Paulo - Botafogo's midfielder until 2019 and was one of the favorites of the black and white fans, especially after the club's participation in the 2017 Libertadores, where he was one of the highlights. At Alvinegro, João Paulo played 109 games, scored seven goals and won the Campeonato Carioca in 2018.
Marquinhos and Beraldo - The PSG defenders, current Champions League champions, had successful spells in São Paulo football. Revealed by Corinthians, Marquinhos was part of the group that won the unprecedented Libertadores title in 2012. Since 2013 at the French club, the defender has been the team captain. Beraldo, in turn, arrived at PSG in 2024, after standing out with the São Paulo shirt. For Tricolor, he was fundamental in the club's first Copa do Brasil win, in 2023.
Moscardo - Also from PSG, the midfielder was discovered by Corinthians and was not part of the Champions League winning team. He was loaned to Reims last season.
Samuel Lino - The only Brazilian on the Spanish team, Lino arrived at the club in 2022. Champion of the Copinha with Flamengo in 2018, the player arrived in European football a year later, to defend Gil Vicente, from Portugal, at the age of 19.
