🚨The International Federation of Association Football (IFAB) has announced changes to the Laws of the Game for the 2025/26 season. Key updates include:
1. *Only team captains can speak to referees* (Law 3).
2. *Referees will use a countdown signal* for goalkeeper's 8-second possession (Law 5).
3. *Dropped ball rules* have been revised, with specific guidelines for penalty areas and ball possession (Law 8).
4. *New rules for ball touching by coaches/substitutes* (Law 9).
5. *Offside determination* now considers first point of contact, except for goalkeeper handling (Law 11).
6. *Goalkeeper ball holding* over 8 seconds results in a corner kick (Law 12).
7. *Goal kick and corner kick rules* have been clarified (Laws 16-17).
8. *VAR protocol* now requires referees to show a "TV screen" signal and announce final decisions.
