The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Ghana, His Excellency Khalid Bin Jabor Al-Mesallam, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Education, Honourable Haruna Iddrisu in Accra today. In a warm and productive exchange, the Minister highlighted the need to deepen bilateral relations between Ghana and Qatar, especially through stronger ties between their respective Ministries of Education. A major highlight of the meeting was the Minister’s announcement of plans to establish an Islamic Medical School in the Northern region of Ghana, which will also function as a teaching hospital for the University for Development Studies (UDS). This initiative is expected to improve medical education and healthcare access in the region.
