*Spend June and July working out of Southeast Asia and Europe. Adding here some of the hostels/hotels where you can stay and reviews by customers for each one*
*#seasia*
City: #hochiminh #vietnam
Hostel: Meander Saigon
Review: Loved it + has a dedicated co-working space. Costlier by Rs. 400 a night than the others available in the same city but totally worth it.
City: #hanoi #vietnam
Hostel: Little Charm Hostel
Review: Avoid unless on a budget and just need a place to sleep. There are better places to book, and adding some extra Rs. 300-400 can get you private rooms. Also, the bathroom sucked.
City: #kualalumpur #malaysia
Hostel: 1000 Miles Hotel
Review: Loved it for the money paid. Personal room with table and chair + attached bathroom. Walking distance from the metro. Multiple restaurants nearby. Lovely staff.

City: #lyon #france
Hostel: Pilo Lyon
Review: Highly rated but didn't like the small capsule bunk beds. Also, it's located on a steep uphill, so take care if you don't want to walk up daily. For the money paid, it was good. Has ample space in the cafeteria and above where you can work in peace.
City: #strasbourg #france
Hostel: The People Strasbourg
Review: Loved it. Nice staff and location. Walking distance from the tram station. Multiple restaurants nearby. Nice space to work from in the cafeteria. On Sundays, they have brunch time, so they won't be allowed to work from the cafeteria, which is a bummer.
City: #salzburg #austria
Hostel: a&o Salzburg Hauptbahnhof
Review: Nice stay, but people hated that they had basic things, such as water bottles, which are also highly priced, and made an earning on it. €3 was the price. Insane. The location was super good. A few meters from the bus and railway station + ample restaurants around.
City: #venice #italy
Hostel: a&o Hostel Venezia Mestre
Review: Nice hotel. Good location to go to the main island. Unfortunately, bed bugs + not so friendly staff. A bit crowded too. Can work from the reception cum canteen area 24X7. No issues. But the rest of it was fine. A new hostel MEININGER Venezia Mestre has just opened opposite this one. A bit costly per night but really good.
City: #bologna #italy
Hostel: Combo Bologna
Review: Gem staff and Gem hostel. A bit costly, but worth it. Dedicated workspace available. Walking distance from the main railway station. No supermarkets are nearby, and everything is 500 meters away. In house, the canteen had food items decently priced. Private lockers near reception are available. It's good to keep your passport and laptop when roaming out.
City: #brindnisi #italy
Hostel: Ostello della Gioventu Brindisi
Review: Freshly renovated. Really good for the price. Can work from the canteen or outside garden space. Also, tables in the room were available so you could work post canteen closure at 11 pm. There are no plugs around to charge your laptops, etc., in the room, except near your bed. 100 m walking for the bus to and from the airport and main railway station, which was lovely. No supermarkets nearby which was sad.
City: #granada #spain
Hostel: Hostel Nut
Review: Gem staff and lovely hostel. Can work 24X7 from the reception area. Have a table and chairs and ample charging points. Also walking distance from the nearest bus stations. Nice bathrooms, beds, and rooms.
City: #malaga #spain
Hostel: TOC Hostel Málaga
Review: Lovely hostel which is a hotel. Nice rooms and beds. Bathrooms have rain showerheads. Loved this. Bummer, there was no space to work. You can do it from the canteen, but it opens from 9 am to 9 pm. Post that you can work from the kitchen, which people do. Again, they shut it at 12 am, which was sad. Can work from bar desks in reception 24/7. Ample charging points. Superb location. Ample restaurant and supermarkets in nearby lanes. Get a room on the lower floors.
City: #seville #spain
Hostel: room Select Tetuan
Review: The best personal room on my client trip. Paisa Vasool for the money paid. A dedicated workspace which is open 24/7. Had in-house coffee and a canteen. Can just step out and walk and start exploring. Supermarkets are also nearby, plus multiple restaurants.
City: #lisbon #portugal
Hostel: Sant Jordi Hostels Lisbon
Review: Nice hostel but rude staff who won't take a stand and pretty crowded. Can work from the dining area 24X7. No issues. Ample supermarkets around + also a tram station just opposite to the hostel, and a few meters away was the metro.
City: #lisbon #portugal
Hostel: The Central House Lisbon Baixa
Review: Superb location. Bang in the middle of the city. Lovely rooms and gem staff. Ample restaurants and things to see around. Just step out and walk. No laundry, but it has a pay and use facility a few meters away. Lovely rooms, which also had a table and chair to work at. Metro station a few meters away.
City: #porto #portugal
Hostel: The Central House Porto Ribeira
Review: Lovely location. Like you can wake up and just walk over to the end of the road and sit and enjoy your coffee or an evening beer, etc. There are many restaurants around. The bus station for the airport or bus stop is just a few meters away. Lovely rooms too. No dedicated workstation, but ample space to work from coffee tables etc. Coffee machines are available.
Hope this helps in case you are backpacking and working in these cities....
