🚨Unfortunate Air India Crash Today - Boeing 787 Dreamliner🚨 First of all, our deepest sympathy goes out to the families and loved ones touched by today’s tragedy. We condole every life lost and stand with those grieving. Boeing 787 Dreamliner is one of the most modern and secure aircrafts with state of the art systems and avionics. It has transported over a billion passengers since 2011 without any fatal incident. Today’s was the first loss. Seeing the videos and expert commentary, here are 5 reasons why it was, most likely a pilot error:- 1. Flaps missing at take-off: Analysis of pre-crash video finds that the aircraft lacked proper take-off flap configuration which is critical for generating lift. Without flaps at the correct position, the jet struggled to climb and eventually lost altitude. 2. Landing gear left down: The gear was still extended well into the initial climb which is very unusual and aerodynamically disruptive. This likely reduced climb performance. 3. Slow climb trajectory: After reach­ing ~625 ft, the aircraft began descending despite full throttle, pointing to possible configuration error. 4. Mayday then silence: Crew recognized a critical situation but were unable to resolve it, indicating they were quickly overwhelmed. 5. Clear weather conditions: With no clouds, turbulence or windshear, atmospheric factors are unlikely, pushing scrutiny toward crew or mechanical issues.
