According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both parties viewed the elevation of Kabul and Islamabad's diplomatic missions to ambassadorial status as a positive development and expressed optimism for the swift completion of the remaining phases. During the phone call, they also conveyed that advancing the diplomatic relations' status would facilitate broader collaboration across multiple domains. The Foreign Minister's conversation with his Pakistani counterpart ensued following the Pakistani Foreign Ministry's announcement the previous day regarding the elevation of its mission in Kabul to ambassadorial rank. The Afghan Foreign Ministry likewise embraced the Pakistani government's decision, affirming its intent to reciprocally raise the status of the Afghan Embassy's Chargé d'Affaires in Islamabad to ambassadorial level.
