Construction of 42 new telecom towers planned for Logar Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Maulvi Najibullah Hayat Haqqani, undertook a visit to Logar province where, following discussions with local officials and residents to understand their concerns, sanctioned the installation of 33 additional telecommunication antennas in the region. In a statement, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology's spokesperson, Inayatullah Alokozai, revealed that previously, 9 antennas had been greenlit for Logar province as part of the 10th TDF project. Construction is presently in progress, which will bring the total number of operational telecommunication sites in the province to 42, catering to various areas. Alokozai emphasized that the activation of these sites would extend telecommunication services to previously underserved regions, ensuring wider coverage. Furthermore, the Ministry of Communications recently announced plans to establish 178 new telecommunication sites in Paktia, Paktika, and Khost provinces. This initiative aims to alleviate telecommunication challenges in remote areas of these provinces to a certain extent.
