Complaints against police and military officials being addressed Mufti Abdul Matin Qane, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, has urged the public to report any grievances against police and military personnel or instances of misconduct by Ministry of Interior officials. He emphasized the importance of providing accurate evidence along with complaints to the relevant inspection departments to prevent such incidents from recurring and to uphold justice. The Ministry of Interior has released contact numbers for the inspection departments across all 34 provinces of the country, assuring prompt responses to reported complaints and issues. Qane highlighted that the Ministry's General Directorate of Inspection oversees police activities nationwide, investigating allegations of corruption, fraud, and misconduct in the Ministry's services. Furthermore, he mentioned that the police themselves have the option to submit internal complaints and concerns to the Ministry of Interior's General Directorate of Inspection for resolution, supported by evidence and documentation. Following the restoration of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's authority, dedicated helplines within military organizations were activated to address civilian complaints. Additionally, the Ministry of Encouraging Righteousness and Preventing Evil has established a substantial unit to receive and address a multitude of civilian complaints on a daily basis.
