Around 100 Detainees Freed from from Laghman Prison The provincial government of Laghman has announced the release of 91 detainees from the central prison in the province, which includes four women and five children. Abdul Malik Niazi, the spokesperson for the Laghman governor, stated that the sentences of 53 prisoners have been shortened. Recently, 317 inmates were also set free from Nangarhar province's central prison in celebration of Eid-ul-Adha while the sentences of 385 others were reduced. This action coincides with various occasions such as Eid-ul-Adha, where many inmates serving shorter sentences are being released and the sentences of others are being curtailed.
