As the soldiers entered the structure, the explosives were triggered, leading to the casualties. Despite air and artillery support, the infantry managed to extract the deceased and wounded after a rigorous four-hour confrontation. Additional sources reported that in the clashes at Khan Yunis and Jabalia, four invaders were killed, and 17 others were wounded. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the day as "profoundly challenging for Israel," while the Defense Minister expressed deep sorrow, stating, "No words can capture the extent of our grief over this significant loss."
