📖 Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David inquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.
.... (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.) - 2Sa 21:1-2
The issue is not whether we speak in truth to fellow believers or not, it's about the word that proceeds out of our mouth and the authority there of.
The Lord rose up to fight for Gebeonites, a tribe which was without the covenant. He did it against the children of the promise, to make them go through a famine. This is to teach us that our words are anointed with power.
Let us consider therefore where we have spoken caressly and repent.
Most of our troubles are tongue troubles. Silence is Godly.
