Will the Vaiphei community as a whole turn a blind eye to the UKNA's demand at Tuikumuallum, or are they even aware of what’s really going on? Tuikumuallum is traditionally a Zosuan/Zomi chieftainship, currently under the leadership of Chief Stanley. However, the self-styled KukiZo Council chairman has continually humiliated and discriminated against those who refuse to follow his personal policies. This is not a movement backed by the majority of the Vaiphei community. Rather, it reflects the personal ambition of one man, Henlianthang Thanglet, driven by greed and a desire to become an MLA, aided by his media operatives, commonly referred to as “Sizo-Pawk Khanglai.” It’s increasingly evident that Henlianthang and Sizo-Pawk Khanglai are two sides of the same coin.
