Health Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Duale and Council of Governors Chair H.E. Ahmed Abdullahi co-chaired a high-level meeting with county governors on 10th June 2025 at Afya House, Nairobi. The meeting focused on the implementation of Universal Health Coverage (UHC), rollout of the National Equipment Services Program (NESP), KEMSA’s commodity supply support, and operational arrangements for the Social Health Authority (SHA). Key issues discussed included SHA payment systems, sustainable solutions for UHC worker grievances, county sensitization on the consignment stock model, and the Facility Improvement Financing Act, 2023. The session was attended by senior Ministry of Health officials, CoG leadership, and governors from Tharaka Nithi, Kirinyaga, and Homa Bay counties.
