Health CS Hon. Aden Duale today met Cuban Ambassador H.E. Ms. Inés Fors Fernández at Afya House to discuss stronger bilateral cooperation in advancing Kenya’s Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Talks centred on Cuba’s renowned community health model, digital health, telemedicine, and local vaccine production. Hon. Duale proposed a formal MoU to guide collaboration in service delivery, training, manufacturing, and health innovation. He appreciated Cuba’s support, including the deployment of 84 doctors to counties and training of 48 Kenyan doctors. The CS was accompanied by PS Mary Muthoni and DG Dr. Patrick Amoth.
