This evening, the Ministry of Health received 3 million doses of BCG vaccine at JKIA to boost routine immunization. Principal Secretary for Medical Services Dr. Ouma Oluga led the reception, accompanied by Dr. Bashir Issak (Head of Family Health), Dr. Rose Jalango (Head of NVIP), and officials from UNICEF and WHO. The vaccines will be distributed immediately to counties to ensure continued protection of newborns against tuberculosis.
