We are looking for a Sr. Power Electronics Semiconductor Application Engineer to join our Vehicle Propulsion team at JLR TBSI! 🔎 What You’ll Do: ✔️ Design and optimize power semiconductor devices—including Si, SiC MOSFETs/JFETs, and GaN devices—for high-voltage applications. ✔️ Characterize power semiconductor devices and evaluate their performance. ✔️ Collaborate with power module/discrete manufacturers to develop devices for power electronics applications. ✔️ Innovate in power modules/discretes, including die construction, packaging, materials, parasitics, and layer structures. ✔️ Simulate electrical powertrain systems (inverters, DC-DC converters, onboard chargers, BMS) to address power electronics quality issues in xHEV and BEV vehicles. 🎓 What We’re Looking For: ✅ 6+ years of semiconductor and power electronics experience. ✅ Expertise in power loss calculations, thermal modeling, and high-voltage designs. ✅ Hands-on experience with prototyping, PCB design, and EMI/EMC considerations. ✅Power Semiconductor device characterization, with analytical skills to evaluate device performance. ✅ Work with power module/discrete manufacturer in developing devices for the power electronics application ✅ Strong proficiency in simulation tools (PSpice, MATLAB, LTSpice, PSIM). ✅ Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. ✨ Why JLR?
