💦CITY COMMISSIONS ITS LARGEST WATER TOWER The City of Ekurhuleni officially commissioned its largest water tower in Benoni today. The commissioning of the 5.5-megalitre Northmead water tower was led by Member of the Mayoral Committee for Water and Sanitation, Cllr Thembi Msane. Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, MMC Msane highlighted the tower’s dual role: “This facility will not only enhance water pressure but will also serve as a critical storage asset, significantly strengthening the resilience of our bulk water supply system. Residents in Farrarmere, Brentwood, Airfield, North Villa, and Northmead, areas previously affected by low water pressure, can now look forward to a more stable and efficient water supply.” While celebrating this major addition to its water infrastructure, the City continues to deepen its collaboration with Rand Water to accelerate infrastructure upgrades and effectively manage water supply interruptions.
