Dumpling Sauce Ingredients: 3 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp rice vinegar ½ tsp sesame oil ½ tsp sugar 1 tbsp chili garlic oil 1 green onion, thinly sliced (optional) 1 tsp sesame seeds Instructions: 1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. 2. Stir well to blend the flavors. 3. Serve as a dip for dumplings, gyoza, or spring rolls. Also great drizzled over rice bowls. --- 2. Sweet Chili Sauce (Homemade and preservative-free!) Ingredients: ⅓ cup rice vinegar ⅓ cup water ⅓ cup + 2 tbsp sugar 1 tbsp rice wine 2 tsp dried chili flakes 1½ tsp minced garlic 1 tsp finely minced ginger 1 tsp soy sauce 2 tsp cornstarch dissolved in 1 tbsp water Instructions: 1. Add everything except the cornstarch slurry to a small saucepan. 2. Bring to a gentle boil while stirring. 3. Stir in the cornstarch mixture. Cook 1–2 minutes until thickened. 4. Cool completely, then transfer to a jar. 5. Store in the fridge up to 1 week. Yields ~1 cup. --- 3. Peanut Sauce (Creamy, nutty, with a touch of spice) Ingredients: ½ cup peanut butter ½ cup hoisin sauce ⅔ cup boiling water (or coconut soda for sweetness) 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 tsp fresh lime juice or vinegar 1 tbsp chili crisp oil Crushed roasted peanuts, for garnish (optional) Instructions: 1. In a bowl, mix boiling water with peanut butter until smooth. 2. Stir in hoisin, garlic, lime juice, and chili oil. 3. Adjust with more water for your desired thickness. 4. Serve warm or room temp, garnished with peanuts. Perfect for: Satay skewers, spring rolls, noodle bowls. --- 4. Yum Yum Sauce (The classic hibachi sauce!) Ingredients: 1 cup mayonnaise 1 tbsp ketchup 1 tbsp melted butter 1 tbsp rice vinegar ¼ tsp paprika ¾ tsp garlic powder 1 tbsp granulated sugar 2 tbsp water (or as needed to thin) Few dashes hot sauce or cayenne (optional) Instructions: 1. Whisk all ingredients in a bowl until smooth and creamy. 2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight is best). 3. Stir before using. Keeps up to 1 week in the fridge. 4. Yields about 1¼ cups. Serve with: Grilled meats, fried rice, shrimp, veggies, or as a burger/spread dip.
