He will discuss with Nigerians how this initiative aims to reduce transportation costs in the short term, with the mid and long-term goals of assembling CNG-enabled vehicles in the country to stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and enhance automotive manufacturing. Today's discussion of the transformative initiative also includes objectives such as developing new stakeholder-operated Intrastate Mass Transit systems using CNG, supporting states in integrating CNG buses (through conversion, retrofitting, and new purchases), deploying CNG buses with existing Private Mass Transit operators, introducing innovative financing programmes for operators, and incentivizing investment in CNG processing, distribution, and utilization. The 2-hour conference, including a 1-hour Q&A session, will offer an engaging and informative discussion.
