Primacy Consulting is hiring a draftsperson Job Title: Civil Draftsperson Department: Engineering / Design Location: Bhubaneswar Reports To: Senior Civil Engineer / Design Manager / Project Engineer Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Civil Draftsperson to prepare detailed civil engineering drawings and plans for infrastructure and construction projects. The role involves producing accurate 2D/3D drawings using CAD software, assisting in the preparation of documentation, and collaborating with engineers to ensure design intent is fully realized. Key Responsibilities . Prepare detailed drawings (Good For Construction Drawings) for civil works, including site layouts, grading plans, excavation drawings, and structural components. . Develop drawings based on inputs from engineers, surveys, and topographic data. . Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D (or equivalent) to produce plans, sections, profiles, and detail drawings. . Revise and update drawings according to markups, redlines, and site instructions. . Assist in the preparation of drawings for tenders, approvals, and construction. . Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., IS codes, IRC, MoRTH, BIS, AASHTO, etc.). . Maintain drawing logs and ensure version control of documents. Coordinate with site teams and design consultants for drawing clarifications and updates. . Prepare as-built drawings based on site data and changes. Qualifications & Skills . Diploma in Civil Engineering or Certification (ITI) in Drafting/CAD from a recognized institution. . Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Civil 3D, MicroStation, or Revit (Civil) is an advantage. . Understanding of civil engineering design principles, construction methods, and topographical interpretation. . Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. . Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents. . Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Experience . 2–5 years of experience in civil drafting for infrastructure, water supply, hydropower, or irrigation projects. . Experience working with engineering consultancies or contractors preferred.
