The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and execution of plumbing and fire protection systems across various large-scale infrastructure projects, including airport developments. This role requires strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: PHE Design Engineering: Develop detailed designs for plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, sewer, and hot water systems. Design firefighting systems such as hydrants, sprinklers, fire extinguishers, and gas suppression systems. Layout and design of Plumbing and Firefighting pump rooms, ensuring code compliance and operational efficiency. Project Experience: Work on complex, large-scale projects; experience with airport projects is highly desirable. Code Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to relevant codes and standards such as NBC, NFPA, IS, and other applicable regulations. Software Proficiency: Use Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, including Xref management, for drafting and documentation. Guide team members using Revit for BIM-based design and coordination. Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and perform quantity takeoffs. Prepare technical reports and review specifications. Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with internal design teams, external consultants, site execution teams, and vendors. Engage in client meetings to understand requirements, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction. Office Tools: Utilize MS Word, Excel, and other office tools for reporting, calculations, and documentation. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline. Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience. Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit. Strong knowledge of MEP industry codes and best practices. Ability to handle client interactions, site coordination, and technical team discussions. Skilled in BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and value engineering. Familiarity with interdisciplinary coordination.
