→ The Cabinet has approved two railway multitracking projects worth ₹6,405 crore across Jharkhand, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh, adding 318 km to the network and improving freight movement. → These projects will ease congestion, enhance travel reliability, and improve logistics efficiency, especially in key coal and mineral transport zones like Koderma–Barkakana and Ballari–Chikjajur. → With this, the CCEA has cleared five major rail infrastructure initiatives in a year, aiming to enhance connectivity to 1,408 villages and enable additional freight capacity of 49 MT annually.
