Empowering young people with climate finance skills is essential for building a sustainable, climate-resilient future
A climate finance training workshop targeting youth began on Wednesday in Bulawayo, with the goal of equipping young people with the skills to access and navigate international climate finance systems.
“Invest in youths, save our future: unlocking climate finance skills for a greener tomorrow” the initiative seeks to transform participants into climate finance negotiators, project developers, and green entrepreneurs.
Zimbabwe, like many other developing countries, struggles to access climate finance needed to effectively respond to the growing impacts of #climatechange.
Empowering young people with the knowledge and tools to access and manage climate finance is essential for achieving long-term environmental sustainability. Empowerment through training, mentorship, and capacity building, the workshop is laying the foundation for a future generation of climate leaders who can drive innovative community-based solutions and help secure funding for green initiatives.
Building resilience, climate action and climate mitigation without finance is a pipe dream. Without adequate funding, we can't make meaningful progress on a national level. Climate resilience requires resources to implement tangible solutions.
