*# MIGRAINE* is a neurological condition that causes intense, throbbing headaches, often on one side of the head. It's not just "a bad headache"—it can be debilitating and is usually accompanied by other symptoms. --- Symptoms of a Migraine: 1. Headache Phase (Main Attack): Throbbing or pulsating pain (often on one side) Moderate to severe intensity Worsens with physical activity 2. Associated Symptoms: Nausea and/or vomiting Sensitivity to light (photophobia) Sensitivity to sound (phonophobia) Blurred vision Dizziness 3. Aura (in some cases, called "migraine with aura"): Visual disturbances like flashing lights, zigzag patterns, or blind spots Tingling or numbness in the face or hands Speech difficulties 4. Prodrome (hours or days before migraine): Mood changes (e.g. irritability, depression, or euphoria) Food cravings Neck stiffness Frequent yawning Trouble concentrating 5. Postdrome (after the headache subsides): Feeling drained, confused, or washed out Some people feel euphoric or very refreshed --- Migraines can last from 4 to 72 hours and vary in frequency from person to person.
