India’s active Covid-19 cases have risen to 7,121, with 306 new infections and six deaths reported in the past 24 hours, as per the Health Ministry. The fatalities include three from Kerala, two from Karnataka, and one from Maharashtra. Health experts attribute the spike to emerging variants like LF.7, XFG, JN.1, and NB.1.8.1. Vulnerable individuals, including seniors and those with chronic illnesses, are advised to stay cautious.
