*1 Corinthians 9:1 (NKJV):* Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord?
*THE VISION OF GOD*
In Paul's defense of his apostleship, he raises a profound question: “Have I not seen Jesus our Lord?” Here, Paul points us to a deep spiritual reality that transcends titles and ministry roles—the vision of the Lord.
This vision is not reserved for apostles alone. The realm of seeing God belongs to every believer — the teacher, the evangelist, the pastor, and even the newest disciple. For what is ministry, if not a response to the One we have seen? Yet we must pause and ask: what does it truly mean to “see the Lord”?
Too often we mistake the works of God for the vision of God. When the blind receive sight, the lame walk, or when a word of knowledge proves true — we rejoice, and rightly so. These are the wonderful works of God. But they are not necessarily the ultimate vision of God.
To see God begins with the heart. It is an inner vision, born not from outward signs but inward purity. Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8).
Seeing the Lord means encountering Him in the secret place, recognizing His beauty, His holiness, His grace — and being transformed by it. This vision roots us in intimacy before it releases us into influence.
So don’t seek God just to heal the sick, preach powerfully, or build a ministry. Primarily, seek Him to see Him. Hallelujah!

*GOLDEN NUGGET:* Seeing the Lord means encountering Him in the secret place, recognizing His beauty, His holiness, His grace — and being transformed by it. This vision roots us in intimacy before it releases us into influence.
*PRAYER:* Loving Father, I thank You for this word. May I never be content with only seeing Your works without knowing Your heart. My eyes have been washed with salve to see You through the purity of the spirit and in truly seeing You, I am daily transformed, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
