*IMA SLAMS MBBS + Ayurveda Integration Plan at JIPMER 🚨* 📍 30 May 2025 The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has strongly opposed the Centre’s plan to launch an integrated MBBS + Ayurveda course at JIPMER, Puducherry. *🔴 IMA’s Key Objections:* - Calls it “Mixopathy” and an “irreversible catastrophe” - Warns it will set back Indian healthcare by 100 years - Says it violates patient choice & may create “half-qualified quacks” - Cites China’s failure in mixing modern & traditional medicine as a cautionary tale *📢 “Let all systems retain their identity.
