"Internationalisation of the curriculum in higher education: A case from a Mozambican university"
A big challenge African higher education faces today stems from the lack of local knowledge systems embedded in the internationalization of the curriculum. Through semi-structured interviews, this study investigates faculty members’ experiences regarding this issue at a Mozambican university. The findings uncovered that the curriculum is considered "internationalised" when it includes cultural awareness, promotes global mobility, and involves teaching content or students from international backgrounds.
