MARRIAGE DOES NOT CHANGE A PERSON! A lady who is a pastor shared with me how she fell in love and got engaged with a man and how the man's parents and elder brother admonished her to run for her dear life. They told her that their son lacked godly characters and getting married to him might €ndanger her life and ministry. But she insisted on going ahead with the relationship, even after she personally discovered so many dangerous traits in the man. She was in "love". After their wedding, the man actually became a thr€at to her life and ministry. He turned her to a punching bag, closed down the church she established before marriage and sold her only car she used for her ministry without her permission. He made life mis€rable for her. She tried her best to make the marriage work but all to no avail. Today, she has left the man with her child. You see, most times, when two young people are attracted to each other, they choose to be blind to reality. They usually wave away warning signals during their courtship because they believe they are in love. Singles, your marital choice is your life. you should act wisely. If you decide to tie your marital destiny with a wrong partner, you may r€gret it. Marriage does not change a person. If your partner b€ats you up, cheats on you, fools around, gets drunk and promises to stop when both of you get married, refuse to be f0oled. The plain fact is that bad situations most times turn worse after marriage. Marriage does not change a person. It is possible for people to change and personal habits turned around but when you have heard the same line several times, with no noticeable change in your partner’s behavior, it’s time to let go of the relationship. Never ignore warning signals. There is nothing you have spent in the process of your relationship with your partner that is bigger than your life and future. Don’t sell your happiness because of a relationship. Run for your dear life if you discover that someone is not right for you. Your destiny is not in his/her hands. True love is not blind to reasoning. It is the ability to make the right decision after considering all necessary angles.
