_I am finishing up editing *Hudson Taylor's biography book 2* . This was an encouraging and challenging excerpt:_ As conversation shifted to the China Inland Mission, Mr. Broomhall retrieved a letter from his pocket that had profoundly moved him. The letter hailed from a poor widow in Scotland, who, despite subsisting on only a few shillings per week, regularly contributed to the mission in China. *She expressed that while she could forgo meat, the heathen could not forego the Gospel.* The self-denial inherent in her simple words was palpable, as were the earnest prayers accompanying her modest gifts.
