*#themhrsperspective: Championing Lasting Solutions for Nigeria's IDPs*
Last week, Members of the House of Representatives championed the urgent need for a structured reintegration plan for over 3 million internally displaced persons in Nigeria, prioritising dignity, security, and sustainable recovery.
Debating a motion sponsored by Rep. Felix Uche Nwaeke (PDP, Rivers), Members called for a comprehensive reintegration plan that goes beyond temporary relief. They emphasised the need for structured support, emotional rehabilitation, and economic recovery for displaced families across more than 300 camps nationwide.
The House urged key government agencies to conduct a thorough assessment and develop coordinated strategies to restore dignity and stability to affected communities.
With compassion, foresight, and a deep sense of responsibility, the 10th House continues to demonstrate what responsive governance truly means.
