Reading is to be returned to the primary-school timetable, says Senator Dr Dana Morris Dixon, minister of education, skills, youth and information, who yesterday acknowledged there is a literacy crisis impacting schools across the country. Morris Dixon, who was addressing yesterday’s post-Cabinet press briefing at Jamaica House in St Andrew, said the reintroduction of reading would be done for the start of the next academic term.
