*THE BEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD* Once there was a discussion in the gathering of the Prophet (sallal lahu alaihi wasallam ), as to whom the best woman in the world is. A number of companions gave their opinions on the different qualities of the ‘Outstanding woman.’ Whilst the discussion was still taking place, Hadrat Ali (Radi Allahu anhu) returned home on an errand. Once home he mentioned the topic of discussion to his wife Hadrat Fatima (Radiallahu Anha) who instantly replied, ‘’ should I tell you who the best woman in the world is?’’ ‘’ Please do.” Hadrat Ali (Radi Allahu Anhu ) responded. ‘’The best woman is she who protects her gaze. She neither looks at non-related male nor gives them the opportunity to look at her.’’ When Hadrat Ali radi allahu Anhu returned to the gathering, he related Hadrat Fatima (Radi Allahu anha)’s answer to the Prophet Sallal lahu alaihi wasallam.
