Dawn is coming
Acts 12:18 NLT — At dawn there was a great commotion among the soldiers about what had happened to Peter.
Kudenga kuna Mwari - there is God in heaven. My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, all i can say is thank you. Twatotela Lesa. You, the changer of impossibilities to possibility. Though you have all the power to do mighty and unsearchable things, I love you. Nalikutenwa sana. Forgive us Lord. Speak to us Holy Spirit. In Jesus's name, amen.
I feel like going on and on. It is so sweet to talk to Jesus. I believe when Peter was being led past each guard posts, he was spiritually collecting back his will power as mentioned in yesterday's devotion. Listen child of God, when you are going through difficult times, never leave your will power. The will to have faith in God. The will to trust in Jesus's name. The will to hold hope tightly and the will to continue in love. These four will bring freedom to your soul.
All this happened at night. Our God does not sleep. However, dawn is coming. OMG, confusion is a virtue that the enemy had in abundance. The passage we read above did not hide the state of affairs in the prison. The time will come when those who thought had you in their shackles will enjoy the meal of confusion. May this morning bring great confusion in the camp of those who have been holding you back.
In the book of Exodus 14, there was great confusion, not only in Pharaoh’ palace, but throughout the nation of Egypt. The night of liberation left a dawn of confusion and sorrow to Egypt. Even when Pharaoh came to his senses and pursued Israel, the damage was already done. The enemy will try to come after you, but the day that you received Jesus in your life, you had a head start.
Imagine the confusion on that 40th day in the valley when the Philistines witnessed their giant source of pride and strength tumbled down without a fight. Because you believe in Jesus, you will not wait for dawn to break. Our Lord leads us even in the middle of the night. No wonder why, Mary Magdalene was able to speak with Jesus, even before dawn broke. You don't have to wait until all your problems are over, for you to speak with the Holy Spirit.
No, I can't leave out the confusion that happened in the camp of Assyria when the four lepers went visiting. Read 2 Kings 7:3-20. The lepers shackles was hunger. But, as they walked towards the enemy lines, the Spirit of God went ahead of them and confusion was the unmistakable result in the camp of the holder of freedom to those in the city of Samaria.
This morning, you need to pray that the Holy Spirit helps you collect your will power back. Stop panicking, God always has a way.
