But that’s simply not true. *Counselling is merit-based (i.e. based on marks) and allows doctors to choose their posting based on preference.* The attached image clearly shows the process – after MD/MS, doctors go through 3 years of bond posting: 1st year in a Medical College & Hospital, and the 2nd and 3rd years in second-tier hospitals like district or sub-district hospitals. Each time a fair counselling process is conducted to allot hospitals to senior residents. *This process is also clearly mentioned in the government notification released in February 2023.* *Please look at the image carefully and share it so the truth reaches everyone.*
