📖 Aristotle’s Model of Communication 🏛️ Once upon a time in Ancient Greece... There lived a great philosopher and teacher named Aristotle. He was often invited to theatres and political gatherings, where leaders and orators gave speeches to large audiences. One day, a young student came to him and asked, > “Master, how do these speakers influence such large crowds with just words?” Aristotle smiled and replied, > “Communication is like a performance. There is a Speaker, who carefully selects a Message, delivers it through a medium, and it reaches an Audience, creating a certain Effect.” He explained further: > “If the Speaker is skilled and ethical, If the Message is clear and powerful, If the Audience is attentive, Then the result is persuasion – the goal of good communication.” Aristotle’s idea became the first-ever communication model in history, and it looked like this: 📌 Speaker → Message → Audience → Effect There was no concept of feedback or interaction — the audience only received the message. This made the model linear and best suited for public speaking, lectures, and propaganda. --- ✅ Moral of the Story (Exam Facts): Aristotle created the first model of communication in the world. It is a linear model – one-way, from speaker to audience. Focus: Persuasion and effect of the speech. Best for public speaking, political speeches, and mass addressing. No feedback or noise included.
