Job Title: Fabric Inspectors Location: Landhi Industrial Area, Karachi Company:Home Textile Industry Department: Quality / Inspection Job Summary: The Fabric Inspector is responsible for thoroughly inspecting fabric rolls to identify defects, measure dimensions, and ensure that fabrics meet quality standards before processing or shipment. This role ensures early detection of quality issues to minimize losses and maintain customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: - Inspect incoming and in-process fabric rolls for defects, shade variations, and width consistency. - Use a 4-point or 10-point inspection system to classify and record fabric defects. - Mark defects clearly on the fabric roll and ensure proper documentation. - Measure fabric roll length, width, and GSM where applicable. - Record inspection results accurately on inspection reports or in ERP systems. - Ensure that inspected fabric meets internal and customer specifications. - Report recurring or major defects to the QC Supervisor for further action. - Coordinate with production, dyeing, and finishing departments on quality-related concerns. - Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the inspection area and machinery. - Follow safety and operational procedures strictly during inspection. Required Skills & Competencies: - Preferably graduation. - Good understanding of fabric types (woven) constructions, and common defects. - Knowledge of inspection systems (4-point, 10-point). - Detail-oriented with good visual accuracy. - Basic math and measurement skills. - Ability to use fabric inspection machines. - Good communication and record-keeping skills. - Physical ability to handle and inspect large fabric rolls.
